Kindergarten Firsts and Forevers

ree

When I signed up to be Room Parent for my son’s kindergarten class, I thought, “How hard could it be?” A few sign-up sheets, maybe a handful of craft projects—easy, right? I was ready to tackle snacks, parties, and the occasional PTA meeting. I was about to embark on a quite a journey.

Spoiler alert: I survived, but not without assembling my own Mom Crew along the way!

My first year as Room Parent was more than just organizing snacks and crafts; it was about creating a community. I’ve learned the true meaning of teamwork and gained a new appreciation for all the little things that make a classroom feel like a family. And most importantly, I’ve found my Mom Crew—the friends who’ll be by my side at class fun event from now until the end of the school year.

So here’s to my fellow room parents, to the Pinterest fails, the snack mishaps, and to every Mom Crew out there making magic in the classroom one sticky handprint at a time. We’ve got this!
